when my mini is on level ground it doesn`t leak oil (well no more than minis usually do) but when i have the front jacked up it seems to be pouring out from somewhere. Anybody have any ideas, or has anybody experienced this before? HELP!

Not 100% certain its Only assumption but could it possibly be leaking from the tappet chest covers at the back of the block? heres the rear of a 998 block it shows the Chest Covers Removed but look for two rectangular covers on the rear of the block with a single bolt through the centre of each if the gasket has gone or badly worn on these they can leak anyhow I'm guessing more so if you jack the car up? Just a thought huggz Jodie

Thanks for the help, i forgot to say it`s a 1275 spi so it doesn`t have these covers. It seems to be dripping off the drivers side inner pot joint, but i guess it could be leaking further up and running down.

Thanks for the help, i`ll get them changed and see if this cures the problem. (This time I won`t make the mistake of removing the diff end covers to do them like i did a few years ago! what a nightmare that turned into!)
