Well i have to say No We never used Boris over all the Icey Period Though he had a little Run out on Boxing Day I really didn't want to chance it really,i kept hearing horror stories of others having their radiators and waterways and pipes freeze up despite having Anti Freeze in their coolant Im Glad to say Boris Ran impeccably We had no real need to run him and its not so much yourself you have to worry about its other road users driving irresponsibly in bad weather So Boris stayed home I have to say i have the greatest respect for anybody who uses minis all the year around like our very own Holly I guess if we only had minis we would have to use a mini all year round I know they can cope with it but i guess were just giving Boris a little rest every so often when the weather is questionable So are you still using your mini or is it hibernating right now? well as you can guess i use my minis in this weather, and all weathers infact as we only own minis (i dont like modern cars at all so would never really want to own or drive one, so minis all the way for me ). The only exception is Maggi as she is a shorty with no roof she only goes on the road 6 month of the year from April to the end of September as taxing her throughout winter seems a waste of money, that is much better spent on the others who are obviously more practical in winter. The advantage of taking my minis out all year round is that i do get some great piccys of them in snow etc

I dunno if it is relevant or not nut i have just worked out that my minis have covered 6,839 miles JUST going to shows and runs this year, that doesn't include all the other normal driving and holidays etc that they have done either

I have too unless I can "borrow" my partners Navara as I only own minis. Today I had to go out, in 35+degree heat in poor Reggie Rover... I thought I was melting. Can't wait to get the air con fixed when the mini specialists open up on the 11th Jan! I think at this point, I'd happily trade you the snow for our sweltering heat..

Poor You ;D Ill Swop you a Snowman for a pair of Sunnies and some sunblock any day On a serious note though Minis arnt too good in sweltering heat I guess if you have a Clubman Fronted Mini in Aus you could fit either a more substantial Radiator up front as theres room Or fit an auxiliary one to back up the side mounted rad Unfortunately there isn't much room up front on a round nosed Mini Though i did see somebody fit an Aux Rad in the boot once

i would have if he'd been roadworthy but in the past a mini was my only form of transport and having driven more modern cars now in these conditions give me a mini any day theyre brilliant in icy conditions, my auto saloon got me to work and back in snow, ice and flooding without missing a beat

Well today its 41 Celsius in Adelaide, so went out early, but by 9am I was already cooking! We don't get snow, but I have often driven my topless Moke (which is now auto) in the rain!

wow that's warm ! i have relatives in Perth and they said there's quite a few mini's and mini derivatives there but they don't like the heat too much. i've been a bit worried about the relatives cos there's been a few bushfires over crimbo but they said theyre ok. my nephew lives north of Melbourne and he nearly copped it earlier this year with the fires his neighbours place went up in flames

I've had the Moke out in the heat over Christmas as well. Unfortunately the temp slowly creeps up and settles around 3/4. In cooler weather it normally sits around half.

Nope, just keep starting mine up to make sure all is ok, get public transport to work so the Mini stays away from the (allegedly) gritted roads!

If I don't have to go to work, my wire haired dachshund will always be there to remind me, no matter what the weather (rain the exception)it's time to go for a ride. And we do at least twice a week.
