well I have never seen it done , maybe a first. I would leave the rear glass alone and fit a small wiper motor under the window above the boot lip as this is large enough for a motor from a mid 1990's Micra, Ford Ka etc. Or maybe try a scrap yard for a small motor from a split rear door 4wd as they have a small sweep, about the same degre as you would need for a nice arc on a mini rear window

Lea I have a rear wiper on one of my minis, it also has a rear washer jet aswell. We bought a rear wiper moter that was designed for a mini in autojumble many years ago and just fitted that and bought a wiper. We did it back in 2001 .... I will see if i can find a piccy of it anywhere

One of the members of my local club had one If memory serves me correct i think it was a Metro wiper motor They've got a blanking plug where it used to be now They've just blanked it off so it can be used again as their Motor Packed Up They are going to put one back as soon as they can I guess its just down to personal preference? Theres times i wish i had rear wash wipe but put up with not having it I personally don't think it looks too bad with a rear wash wipe, after all if it had stayed in production the Classic Mini would of had one by now And the New Mini Have them Huggz Jodie

The reason for rear wipers on some cars is the build up of grime on the rear window due to the shape of the car. Square hatchback cars and station wagons (estates) they have a low pressure area behind the rear window, this is why the rear window gets dirty. It is not fitted for rain, it is just to clean the grime off the window.
