This is a short story that may help others, Otto is a '68 auto I took Otto for its annual testing(N.T. Aus) and I noticed when the rear brakes were being tested on the rollers that there was nothing when the footbrake was used but it was fine on the handbrake, the tester never noticed and passed the car. When I got home I did some checking and I could not bleed either rear drum nothing would come out even with the bleeders completly removed! I decided that the pressure limiting valve must be stuffed and pulled it out(how many of you have ever touched it?) I found the valve to be fine even swapped it with another no change. Then I had a thought and changed both rear flexible hoses for new ones and hey presto the rear brakes work again on the foot pedal. Don't trust old brake flexibles even if they look good on the outside the can collapse internally and block flow.

First thing suggested by our club when you have just purchased an unknown for a project is to replace all 5 flex lines. Apparently they can break down and/or swell so badly that they become completely blocked. If yours are older than 20 years, I'd get them all done now
