hi,has anyone got any pics of metro auto box,going to try and change oil and filter,but need to know were they are first,i havent a clue

As you look at the engine on the distributor side (the front when it's in a car), the oil drain plug is at the bottom left of the gearbox. The filter is a cartridge type which lives in a large cylindrical casing below the alternator - that's on the right-hand side of the engine block. Be very careful not to over-tighten the nut or you will distort the filter bowl, which is almost impossible to get hold of now.

There's a paper element filter to replace inside the canister. It comes with new rubber seals. The canister itself is not available.

It doesn't come with the small seal that sits under the bolt head........ if you continue to use the old seal, in time it will destroy your canister..... by overtightening to compensate for the lack of sealing, these seals are pennies and we carry them in stock if you should require them
