Hello people I'm looking for some ideas on styling the interior of a mini I don't yet have. I'm not sure if this will be a project or one I will buy ready made so if you have got any pictures, ideas, thoughts please please let me know

This is one area where the world is your oyster in a Mini - you really can do pretty well what you like in there! Because the cars were so simple to begin with, it's easy enough to change. There are plenty of aftermarket dash designs, and I tend to fabricate my own; my daughter came up with a nice design that I have so far put in two cars and it has been praised at shows. Seats: loads of choices in standard models, one of my cars now has a nice Cooper half-leather set, or you can shop round for aftermarket buckets. There are also seats from a few other cars that will fit, possibly the nicest are Mazda MX-5. Door cards, carpets, all are available after-market in various designs and qualities. Steering wheels too, and lots of bolt-on goodies.

I personally have gone for the more traditional look and put a Rover interior in my mini and will be added a centre console and some other small modifications to the interior. Once I have finished I will post some pictures I'm just waiting on the carpet to be made!!

That's a very nice looking dash, Chris Looks even better at night with the blue led lighting! You can just about make it out round the switch panel. That car's now sold (the Jet Black) but I still have the same dash design in Nemo, in charcoal and russet to match the bodywork. Will be fitting another in Evy the clubby when that's done; and possibly in Skye - not quite decided the design in there yet. I make the clocks from a Maplin movement with a regulator chip to replace the 1.5v battery, and fit them in cassette tape boxes!

You sound a handy sort of guy. I'd never of thought of doing that to a battery clock. Nice finish though

i think im gonna go for the less is more look
so far my headlight switch and choke are in the column cover, from the metro i had and im gonna move rear fog, brake thingy and rear window heater switch to the right side of the column and i did away with the heater cable
so im gonna fill the center of dash switch hole in, and then cut off the part where the switch hole drops down in the center, and make it look like it was never their, and so with doing that, i'll have to find a way to mount the front of the heater
and im gonna do away with the heater switches on the front of it also, move the fan switch to somewhere else and the heater door controller, im gonna do away with the door that switches from passager to window and just make it so it send heat to the two anytime the heater is running
i have a fibreglass dash but i don't like the fitment of it, so im no longer gonna use it
