Between me leaving for work at 6.40 and Jane opening the curtains at 8am, some scrote has ripped the fibreglass sportspack arches off Nemo. On the front garden, in daylight, beside a main road. Both rear arches gone completely, offside front almost completely off and broken in the process. Nearside is still there but may as well not be as I'll have to fit & paint a complete set.
What sort of mental case does this? Mini owners don't do this to other Mini owners, surely, and they won't fit any other car. God, if I could get my hands on them now!
It's going to cost me a new set of arches plus paint and fitting time, and the car's off the road until at least the weekend. It's Jane's car and we are both equally pigged off.

I'm really sorry to hear this. The actions of some people are just beyond belief. Have you involved the police? Sometimes you get a good one who will investigate thoroughly.
Let's hope you can get it sorted quickly and have Nemo back on the road soon.

This kind of thing appears to be on the increase. Someone local had his mini "Bounced" off his drive and into the road. I'd really like to catch a couple of these morons.

Police are coming round tonight as we had to go out last night. I'm hoping it's the guy from round the back who owns an Italian job himself.

Soo sorry this has happened it seems thesedays our cars are just not safe Its also worrying the amount of Minis i hear of being stolen lately too this and soo many other reasons are why i left Mini ownership Boris looked Beautiful when he was finished but to be honest i was too frieghtened to drive him or park him anywhere for fear of parts being stolen from him I know id never own a Mini again but hypothetically if i was going to own one again i think id make it tidy old school usings methods like coach Paint, and getting cheap secondhand bits and cleaning and painting them up just because it seems the more love, time and money you sink into a Mini the bigger a target it becomes for theft or vandalism I really do hope you find the scroat who damaged your car and they get what they deserve for not respecting your property Jodie

That is worse than a moron doing it. No, I meant that the guy round the back with the IJ is a copper! Anyway, no, it was some young WPC, and due to the rain no chance of fingerprinting. I'm going to work out how to extend my cctv system to the front garden!

Minis do seem to be becoming more targets in recent times, earlier this year someone tried to steal the wheels off one of my Minis and I have had the rear lights taken off another of them at a show in the past, my husband has had several badges taken from his over the years too It would be well worth sorting the cctv, I have it covering all my Minis and I nice sign up so people know its there which will hopefully make them think twice Unfortunatly it is just a reminder that not all Mini owners are honest people as some part which get taken can only fit Minis so must be taken by fellow Mini owners
