Hi, I think I need to adjust the inhibitor switch on my 1984 998cc mini.
Is it inside the car or underneath? My gearbox has just N, R, 1,2,D.
Cheers

I believe it is underneath below the auto gear lever.

Clambod is quite correct, it is underneath the car.
It can be a bit awkward to get at, probably the best way is to jack up the front of the car and put it on axle stands (unless you have a pit or ramps that is).

On a non-park 80's Mini that switch has two circuits. One is for the reverse lights and one is for the inhibitor switch. So check if your reverse lights are working in the right spot too. Also check the cable adjustment is correct, as problems with that are more likely than the inhibitor switch.
