After purchasing an automatic metro with gearing problems i have traced the problem to the selector cable being totally shot. I have been lead to believe that the metro's and the mini's share the same selector cable. Does anyone have one for sale?
Many thanks

Having just seen the price of a new one I can see why you are asking! And so I'd guess most auto fans would want to hang on to spare ones.
What I'd do is search the other Mini forums to find someone who is converting auto to manual - a fairly common conversion though most people here would prefer is wasn't! - and scrounge a cheap cable that way.

thanks, i already have two manual mini's so i'd kind of like to keep this as standard as possible

Absolutely - I wasn't saying to convert it (shock horror!). I was suggesting you find someone who is converting or has just done so who will therefore have a spare cable...

I’ve just put one in the for sale section if you still need one
