Here is the pile of failed parts from Merri's recent Lake District holiday, including whitewall flaps, headgasket, spark plugs, and the exhaust wadding that she was spitting out that looks like some scraggy fur off a dead animal hehehe ;D

I think it's a tree trimmer. Or a pesticide sprayer.

Saturday we removed Merri's old exhaust that was breaking down ... On sunday we gave Merri's underside a quick lick of paint ... Hmmmm thats sticks out a bit !!??!! .... dont worry its adjustable we didn't leave it like that hehehe ... New Maniflow exhaust all in place, also notice we gave the petrol tank a coat of paint as it was looking a littl scruffy and didn't look so right in the red colour we had painted it before ... Exhaust all finished and properly in place ...

That looks really good. A very neat job. I wish the underside of mine looked that good.

after one of the brake discs seemed to have its face disintergrate on our way back from the Blenhiem Palace Mini Show the other week I ordered some new discs pads for her. The arrived this afternoon ... I am hoping we will be able to get her done so I can take her out on her birthday which is in just a few weeks time (Halloween to be exact )

Merri out for an Autumn drive, she was wearing her Poppy with pride for Remembrance Sunday ... We tightened up the drivers side front wheel bearing over the weekend as it had been a little grumbly recently ... thought i would give this Winter Chrome Protector stuff a go on the Minis, so we gave the brightwork a good smothering ...

After an adventure yesterday morning, here is Merri's spare 1967 Automatic A-Series engine arriving home and getting unloaded from Mandi. Hopefully with this spare one we will finally be able to get Merri reliable in her engine again ...

Last weekend we had Merri's heater out to replace the matrix as it started leaking during the cold spell we had just before xmas. Just need to give her a good test run to make sure that this new one has no leaks ...

One of her little mishaps whilst on our way to the Mini Fair at Stafford last weekend was the seatbelt catch breaking so the seatbelt would no longer clip in. Hmmm may have to have a rummage in the garage to see if we have a spare I have been wanting to get one of these for ages, so I was dead pleased when I spotted it in the autojumble at stafford. Its a japanese spec automatic sumpguard for Merri ...

Nice looking sump guard. Did you not have a look for the seat belt anchor in the auto jumble too?

Nice looking sump guard. Did you not have a look for the seat belt anchor in the auto jumble too? we spent all out cash on bigger items within around half an hour of getting to the show , and I am sure we have one in our garage stores though so hopefully shouldn't be a problem to replace nice to meet you and see the car in person Was great to meet you too ... good luck with getting yours finished, hopefully in time for the H2H Run

Merri's front whitewalls needed a coat of paint to whiten them up again. Here you can see the half and half test, quite a contrast ... After searching through the garage we discovered that the seatbelt anchor we had spare was not he right type for Merri's seatbelt that broke, damn ( .... after a quick rummage through the box of bits we got FREE with Mickey (Min's trailer) we discovered a matching one ready to go in Merri! Woohooo that was lucky ...
