edit: pictures start on page 38......thanks to photobucket!!! i paided 500 pounds for this car about 40miles away from here, and i drove the car home, it had a few problems with it, as with most mini's do i got the car march 09 the lights didn't work, no horn, no turn signals, the fuel sending unit didn't work, and the heater was leaking, and so was the t-stat houseing, the fan blade on backwards, the front wheel bearings nut on the spindle was lose, engine had a exhaust leak from the single bolt clamp, the carb was lean, and the inner cv boots clips came undone and she needed alittle bit of welding done the welding is the ez part since i have had some major training done in welding and i own tons of tools

here i started to de-rust the car, i took the sheet metal down to the bare and gave it alittle primer

here's the front with that hole in the fender cut out and patch welded in and filled and i shaved the body lines on the front panels of the car, and the body line below the front window

here's my bicycle next to the car got some hi-lo's for the car new headlights for the car but i havn't mounted them yet, i plan to wire them in with relays

Im Loving this I love Minis All Minis but not everybody can just write blank cheques to keep one on the road Your Mini is Fabb Minis were supposed to be cheap and a lot of that has been lost over the years Yours is in the Original Spirit Im Planning on Doing something Similar Next year For a Register Project so to speak that everybody can Follow Ill Be keeping Boris but also buying a second very cheap 1 litre Auto and doing everything myself Including Coach painting it and doing all those things that have been long since forgotten like rebuilding an alternator rarther than just buying a new one And that sort of thing Keep up the good work Huggz Jodie

cleaned up the uca's and installed new bearings for the shafts, new knuckle joints, hi-lo's and cleaned up my old cones i ended up painting the hi-lo's gloss black like the rest of the suspension

i painted the water pump, and water pump pulley the t-stat housing had a hair line crack in it and it was leaking coolant, i got a new one and painted it and i got a alloy valve cover and painted it also the motor has 58k miles on it

new 3core radiator from dsn classic put a new v-belt also since it was apart and new cooling hoses
